How to Moodle


Situation

College implemented Moodle LMS for use by all existing and new faculty for course delivery

Task

  • Train faculty to use the online course management system
  • Needs to be available anytime and anywhere
  • Needs to be quick and efficient

Action

  • Created mini-course in Moodle utilizing written instructions, short video, and graphic aids to inform then a hands-on interactive experience
  • Course and supporting materials are always available online
  • Course takes between 20 min-1.5 hrs

This course was an excellent preparation for the pedagogy of mentoring and the mechanics of Moodle. I had prepared myself for a bumpy ride at first but that practice will make everything much smoother. – C. B., student
